Still Walking returns for another run of nine new walks in and around the city of Birmingham, clustered over two summer weekends. As ever, exploring is the main thing but this time we’ll also be running, cycling, loitering as well as loafing around Ort café watching films (about walking).
We can guarantee you’ll discover new places and aspects of the city - or your money (a fiver) back. That’s because we approach enthusiasts, experts and artists to lead tours that didn’t exist before we made them. The guides mostly live locally but we’re also keen to see how the city feels to visitors from further afield. They want to share what they know...and we want you to share what you know too. The tours actively include the audience in looking at the world - exchanging memories, knowledge and experiences during the walk itself and over refreshments afterwards. Ideas for new tours usually pop up in conversation at this point!
We’re also keen to see your walking-related films, whether that’s home movies, found footage or DIY gems: bring them along to the Magic Cinema on Sun 27 July. As ever, the walks tend to sell out quickly, so take a look at the programme above, book your places and we’ll see you on the walks (rides, runs…)
