Far more than a tree identification walk, Martin Collins addresses our deeper understanding of the trees we encounter daily in our gardens, parkland, suburban streets and city centre. What is their role is our urban, C21 st lives and what do we want them to do? On this long and engaging walk passing through several city areas, Martin shares his outlook on trees and urban flora which has been shaped by a lifetime’s work in ecology. Many surprises and several exotic species will be revealed along the way.

About Martin Collins
Martin is a retired lecturer, who worked at the Horticultural Training School, King`s Heath Park for over 30 years. He has led several tree walks in local parks and arboreta.
